Notes: Umi received a Bachelor of Science in Education, with a major in Social Studies and minor in Spanish, in December 1972 and was awarded a Master or Art in Education in August 1973; both from OSU. She spent formative time and did significant movement work as a student at OSU. However, unlike her high school yearbook, I cannot find a photo of her in the college yearbook – my first guess is it has something to do with her politics.
