She was the founder and director of The Islamic Wellness Institute of North America, Inc. From the internet archive: “Our organization, founded in 1990, educates about Islamic medicine, nutrition and science. We have lectured around the country and we provide a number of services to the community including counselling (health and personal) and referrals. We offer a series of workshops including, "The History of Islamic Medicine, Nutrition, Science", "Healthy Food Preparation and Cooking", "Vegetable and Fruit Juicing". We also do work in the area of natural/behavior therapy for emotional issues.”
