Notes: I made this collage as a healing, mourning practice on the third anniversary of my mother's passing. The photo is a printout of a photo from her wedding to my father in 1977. The speech bubbles imagine what each woman in the image might be saying — after I completed the collage, I realized what they are saying may not have necessarily been said in 1977, but perhaps is waiting to be said in the afterlife.
