Notes: There are many pages like this in the collection. Copious and detailed notes on chapter and verse in the Qur'an, transcriptions of prayers (i.e. Du'a Qunut), and pages of notes on Islamic jurisprudence from her classes with Dr. Dunya. When reviewing these notes, it is clear they were not taken in a vacuum, namely they reflect a serious studious engagment with religious texts that both demonstrates the urgency of faith and a deep belief in what Islam had to offer as a solution to the struggles of Black people.
