Segment of a treatise or lecture by Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse (d. 1975).
Notes: Niasse established the Fayda branch of the Tijani sufi order, which was popularized among Black US American Muslims by his grandson, Shaykh Hassan Cisse. It is likely that this was typed, copied, and distributed by friend and mentor, Hajja Kareemah Abdul-Kareem, who is a member of Tijani tariqa and close supporter of Cisse. It was in her apartment in 1976 in the South Bronx, the birthplace of hip hop, that Cisse held his first wazifah — congregational remembrance — in the United States.
